History of the IAPO
On 14th March 2007 eight researchers from six countries (see the list below) interested in paleodontology founded the International Association for Paleodontology.

A provisional Council of the International Association for Paleodontology met in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) on 27th April 2007 and decided to register domain name www.paleodontology.com as an official site of the IAPO.
The following officers were elected for a period of four years:
- Marin Vodanović - President,
- Mario Šlaus - Vice President,
- Andrei Zinovev - Vice President,
- Amila Zukanović - Secretary.
The City of Zagreb - City Office for General Administration, in the proceedings initiated at request of the association under the name International Association for Paleodontology with seat in Zagreb, Gundulićeva 5, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Dental Anthropology for registration in Register of Association, under article 14 paragraph 3 and 4 of the Law on Associations (“Official Gazette” number 88/01) and article 6 of the Decision of the organization and scope of the City of Zagreb (“Official Gazette” number 6/97 and 7/97) had enacted a Resolution: “It is approved that association under the name International Association for Paleodontology with seat in Zagreb, Gundulićeva 5, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Dental Anthropology is registered in the Register of associations of the Republic of Croatia. The registration was carried out on 23 July 2007 when the association has obtained the capacity of a legal entity.”
On 1st September 2007 the official site of the International Association for Paleodontology became accessible on www.paleodontology.com.
